Trading is indeed a very stressful profession.
I have found that writing things down and building my website helps me to focus on something else besides the screen. But today I would like to share with you a funny story I have heard.
You know, how do you ever help a new trader to learn how to trade?
So, one day I heard this trader who has trained hundreds, perhaps even thousands of trader around the world tell his story.
He had a group of newbie traders which just started to dip their feet into the trading world. When you train a new group of people, first of all you will give them the basic technical analysis lessons. Then you show them some trading strategies. Then you will tell them the rules of what they should or should not do.
Well, that is the normal routine that happens in the process of turning a newbie into a profitable trader.
Somehow, this trainer could not get his traders to be profitable. They tried this and tried that and still they end up losing money in the markets. I guess not everyone is born to be a trader.
I know how frustrating it can be when first starting out. I guess the trainer was also frustrated because if your student is not making money, you feel like you have failed them.
So one day, he thought of a way to help his traders to be profitable.
He devised a revolutionary new way to train them. This is what he told them to do.
He told them that they have to take 3 trades. And with this 3 trades, they have to do something crazy with it. Instead of trying to make money, they have to lose money on all 3 trades consecutively. That means they have to lose money on trade 1, lose money on trade 2 and lose money on trade 3.
With all the follies of the newbie trader, you would think that this was an easy task. But it appears not.
Even this they couldn't get it right!
Because my friends....they started to make money!
The lesson is this my friends. If what you are doing right now is not making you money. Why not try the opposite approach LOL.
