About Dstockmarket.com

Hi, Welcome to Dstockmarket.com

My name is Stephen

After being an avid student of the stock market for some years, I started this website to share my ideas and thoughts about the stock market to the whole wide world. The website name "Dstockmarket" is actually a play on the words "The Stock Market".

I realized that I like to analyze the markets and write about it and share it with others. I used to write my analysis on another website years ago and then I stopped. Not long after that, I received an email that goes something like this:

"Why did you stop writing the stock market analysis? I find that you are quite accurate"

This email taught me a few things:

  • The things you are passionate about is worth sharing. Who knows, other people might find it useful.
  • When you share something that is of great value to others, people will appreciate it.
  • I found a deep sense of fulfillment knowing my work is helping others
  • You don't need to be a successful billionaire to share your thoughts. The social world now is about sharing and sharing is caring. Even Warren Buffett before he became super successful used to share his thoughts in a University for a few years.
  • When I write something down I see things clearer and at the same time it helps others to see things clearer too.

Falling In Love With The Market

My story is not much different from the many traders and investors out there. After graduating from University with a Law Degree from UWE Bristol, United Kingdom, I thought I was set to become a lawyer.

Then one day, I saw an advertisement in the newspaper by a guy that promised to teach you about how to make money in the stock market. Like so many people who got started in the market, I was excited to just see how stocks can pop up and pop down.

Learning About The Markets

The 2008 Financial crisis thought me 2 things.

  • If you have never experienced a bear market, you never have really experienced what devastation the market can do to your account.
  • I don't really know that much about the stock market
  • It's good to study history so you can expect what will happen in the future

I looked at the charts and started to asked myself why a stock moved the way it did? Why did it rise or fall? How did the stock look like before it rose or fall? I then annotated the charts with my thoughts and observations.

I really discover a lot over the years.

Knowledge

The things that you find on this website is a culmination of all the knowledge, (so called) secrets, tips and tactics that I have acquired over some years. I find that when it comes to the stock market, experience and time is really needed.

You can't just pick up a book and read about the stock market and expect to master it in 3 months. To think that you can master the stock market in such a short period of time is an insult to the greatest investors and traders in the world. Just read the stories in Market Wizards by Jack Schwager and you will know that many great traders didn't start off well and took years before they master the game. Even a doctor needs to study years and years and be apprenticed to an experienced doctor before he or she can treat real patients.

I also found that there are many people who are eager to teach you about the stock market but they will charge you a big fee upfront to show you the secrets of the market. Sometimes its ridiculous to see them charge people $1000 for information that you can find on the internet if you really search wide and deep.

I don't claim to be an expert. But I am certainly an avid student of the market. Therefore, I won't charge anyone a fee for the stock market course on this website. This information I freely share and give to anyone who happens to stop by this site. The only thing I ask of you is this. If you become successful in the stock market in the future or if you found this site to very beneficial to you, I hope that you will send me an email or message and tell me how much I have helped you. To me, that will be the greatest accomplishment for me.

Last but not least. The stock market may give us great investment and returns but its never the ultimate one. I think an investment in eternity is still the best. To quote the Bible "What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?". We are just temporary citizens in this world, so no matter what success we have in this life, its always good to think about the next one.

Sincerely,

Stephen
